Nonghyup supports them all the way through various marketing
& supply businesses including producing, marketing,
processing, and even consuming. The main two sectors of
this business are agricultural marketing and livestock.

households through expanding sales channels and to reduce
farm expenditures.
Activities
concerning producing and marketing high-quality agricultural
and livestock products
To found a cornerstone for producing high-quality agricultural
and livestock products, Nonghyup has strengthened its activities
in promoting GAP certification, disseminating advanced cultivation
technology and on-site livestock consulting services tailored
to the individual needs of member farmers. Nonghyup is also
expanding Rice Processing Complexes (RPCs) and equipment
to produce and market high-quality rice that is competitive
against imported rice. Nonghyup is also operating modernized
Agricultural Product Processing Centers (APCs) and Livestock
Processing Centers (LPCs) for realizing high added value
and improved commercialization. In order to strengthen the
market bargaining power of these high quality agricultural
and livestock products that our farmers fully dedicated
to producing, Nonghyup is expanding the joint marketing
activities among member cooperatives and created high profile
co-brands, including "Haetsarae," "Ansung
Machum," "Jiri Mountain Beef," "Morning
Calm Pork." Nonghyup is also working hard to relieve
farmers of excessive farm expenditures by providing farm
supplies services and tax-free fuels, so that farmers can
concentrate on producing high-quality products.
Nonghyup
is getting closer to its customers
Nonghyup is expanding the number of its Hanaromart megastores,
so customers can have better access to safe and reliable
domestic agricultural and livestock products. We are planning to expand
the number from the 13 Hanaromarts in 2006 to 50 such stores
2015. We also hope to increase the number of local agricultural
and livestock markets, namely Super Supermarkets (SSMs),
to 500 from its current 150. Moreover, we are committed
to enhancing operations of our online shopping mall "NH
Shopping" for convenience of our customers.
Expansion
of livestock production and supply system
Nonghyup is raising key farming households that will lead Korea's livestock
industry in the future. We provide these households with
comprehensive services such as farm operation capital, livestock
insurance, consulting, inspection on livestock houses, prioritized
sales.
Nonghyup also provides consultation on raising quality
livestock through breed improvements on hogs, Hanwoo beef
and dairy cows. We do our best to build a healthy livestock
industry through establishing a regular quarantine system.
On the other hand, we are expanding our livestock supply
system through operating the largest and most modern livestock
marketing complexes in the country, the Eumsung Livestock
Joint Market, to provide the best livestock products to
our customers. We will also expand the number of domestic
meat brands to 15 by year 2015 so that customers can buy
safe, high-quality meat products at reasonable prices.
Environmentally
friendly and safe agricultural and livestock products
As Nonghyup, we will try our best to produce and supply
livestock products that can be trusted. Nonghyup has enlarged
GAP certification on agricultural products,
an antibiotics free certification and HACCP certification
in livestock farm sites. Nonghyup has also strengthened
the level of inspection on marketed products, such as chemical
residues, place of origin and GMO testing. Nonghyup plans
to establish an environmentally friendly sales booth in
Hanaroclub in Yangjae-dong to strengthen marketing brands
such as "Achimmaru.".

We believe in the hard work of our farmers and their dedication
to producing valuable products. Nonghyup is engaged in making
high quality products. Nonghyup established the "NH
Food" to take care of the comprehensive marketing of
agricultural processed food products. Nonghyup's goal is
to make Korea's high quality agricultural and livestock
products into world renown products through brands such
as "Arumchan," "Hansamin," "Achimmaru"
and "Tturanae." Through these efforts Nonghyup
is expanding its export channels.
Toward becoming the world's best marketing group for agricultural and livestock products
Nonghyup was ranked fouth in 2007 among global top 300 cooperative organizations, according to the International Cooperative Alliance. Among marking &supplies organizations, Nonghyup is ranked No.2 after Jaspan's JEN-NOH. But we are not satisfied with our success thus far.
