 Limits on remittance overseas for foreigners

   Foreign residents can remit up to USD$10,000 or its equivalent in another currency annually.
   Applicant must present their ID registration card or a valid passport.

    Allowed to remit funds within the legal sales limit of foreign currency and income earned in
     Korea : required evidence of local sale of foreign currency.
    In case of working and paying taxes here in Korea, you can send home all of your net income
     each month : a copy of the paycheck, employment contract and alien registration card is
     required.
    If you are a foreign non-resident (no record of local foreign currency sale), the limit of
     remittance is USD 3,000 or its equivalent.
