On July 1st 2008, NACF held a ceremony for its 47th anniversary, which also marked its 8th anniversary as a joint federation. The event was held in the main auditorium of NACF headquarters, located in Chungjeong-ro 1ga, Seoul. At the event NACF employees were reminded of NACF¡¯s goal to become the world's leading cooperative organization in the next half century.
NACF's president Won-Byung CHOI¡¯s address emphasized the need for NACF to provide world-class services to its customers. He said in order to do so NACF should "increase the channel of distribution, so that farmers can concentrate on production without worrying about the market," further adding that NACF should "take a step forward to become a global level integrated finance group through the importation of finance holding company system." In addition, CHOI announced that the local cooperatives' development will focus on local economy, finance, and cultural welfare.
